Hello Wawa! Winter Carnival is Coming!

0

The Wawa Winter Carnival will be held from Friday, February 12th until Sunday, February 14, 2016. This year’s theme for our annual Wawa Winter Carnival is “Dr. Suess”. Just think of all the wonderful books Dr. Suess has written over the years that generations have enjoyed. Also all those creative worlds and silly characters he created. Once again we would like to have a parade, and we invite everyone who is interested in putting in a float, walking or driving in the parade to dress up, decorate and most of all have fun! Don’t forget the parade is held in the evening so be sure to carry flashlights or glow sticks and decorate your entry with lights to add pizzazz! We will begin lining up at the end of Broadway Ave by the “Drill Rig” on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. Please don’t be late. We hope to get the parade started down Broadway Avenue no later than 6:30 p.m. where we will continue down Mission Road and end up at the Michipicoten Memorial Community Centre at the west end by the bonfire area. Here we will announce the winning entries of the parade and start the Carnival Weekend off with a BANG! Your group, organization, school or business could be the Winter Carnival winning entry! I look forward to seeing our wonderful community’s smiling faces again this year. Please call 705- 943-0083 or 705- 856-7354 or email [email protected] to register your float.
