The future of the ACR Passenger Train Service is probably doomed. Media reports say that the last request for proposals had three possible operators, but that none of them have been deemed suitable by CN Rail. This is the second RFP to be issued. The passenger train service stopped last summer, leaving many cottagers without access to winterize or remove their belongings from their property, some of which have been purchased outright.
It is not certain now what will happen, or what can be done by the Working Group or by CAPT, who has been working tremendously to try and keep hopes alive.
