Lake Superior Park Facilities are open today!
Although it is still a bit chilly, both the Agawa Bay and Rabbit Blanket campgrounds are open. If you want to take a hike the Picographs are ready to visit. The Visitor Centre at the Agawa Bay campground also opens today.
Earlier this month Day-Use areas and most trails and backcountry camping areas were opened. With a Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry Fire Crew removing fallen trees, Gargantua Road was opened on May 12th.
A great stop halfway between Wawa and Sault Ste. Marie is the Visitor Centre at Agawa Bay. There you can enjoy a stroll along the beach, and inside the Centre there is a small store there you can purchase some snacks, and Lake Superior Park themed gifts and books. There is also a fabulous display of historical items and information about the park. It is a great place to stop and break up the trip.
