The Canadian Snowcross Racing Association (CSRA) announced Friday that Highland Ford is the title sponsor for its Sault Ste. Marie event in the CSRA’s 2017 race schedule. The Highland Ford CanAm Cup will take place at The Yard in downtown Sault Ste. Marie on February 4 – 5, 2017.
“We’re ecstatic to partner with the CSRA and help bring its annual tour to Sault Ste. Marie,” said Darren Smyl, dealer principal, Smyl’s Highland Ford. “We look forward to welcoming the snowmobile racing family to our community and showing them how great our city is.” (see photo above)
Saulites, Ontarians, and Michiganders will be treated to two great snowmobiling events in February to chase away the winter doldrums. The month begins with the world famous Soo I-500 which features North America’s only 1-mile oval ice track. The 49th running of the Soo I-500 will run Saturday, January 30 – February 4th, 2017. From February 4th to 5th the attention will switch to north of the bridge to snowcross at The Highland Ford CanAm Cup. Traffic on the bridge may be busy!
