img_1634Sir James Dunn Public School is very fortunate to have a group of dedicated teachers and students who like to make a difference in their school. Halloween Day was no exception. The newly formed Spirit Club under the direction of Ms. Russell and Ms. Portis worked very hard to organize the Annual Halloween Extravaganza.

The day started with the Annual Fashion Show and the costumes were amazing! Then the students rotated through several Halloween stations. The Grade 7/8’s yet again, did a wonderful job on the Haunted Town. It is probably one of the events that everyone looks forward to each year. The Bake Sale was filled with so many creative, sweet and yummy treats. The Spirit Club thanks all of the SJD families for their donations. The students also enjoyed several games such as Pin the Wart on the Witch, Witches Hat Ring Toss, Witches Broom Limbo and Halloween dancing.

The Grade 4/5 class spent part of their afternoon visiting the Long Term Care Residents at the hospital. The students were greeted by Mr. Matthew Trudeau who first explained a few hospital rules. The residents enjoyed watching all of the students in their costumes. They were also treated to two musical performances. Mr. Trudeau had the students do a Halloween craft and then treated them with some delicious pumpkin loaves. The Grade 4/5 students thank the residents for a wonderful afternoon.

SJD is the place to be!
