East Algoma OPP charge 3 with H.T.A. Offences at RIDE Check

On December 31, 2016, shortly after 12:30 p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) program in the Town of Spanish.  Police checked 188 vehicles at the junction of Front Street and Trunk Road.

As a result, three persons were charged under the Highway Traffic Act and issued provincial offence notices:

Spencer GRAKIST, 21 years of age, from Ottawa, Ontario, was charged with: Speeding, contrary to section 128.

Andrew GILL, 41 years of age, from St Catharines, Ontario, was charged with: Drive Motor Vehicle, No Currently Validated Permit, contrary to section 7(1)(a).

Tamara MALCOLM, 34 years of age, from Serpent River First Nation, Ontario, was charged with: Drive Motor Vehicle, No Currently Validated Permit, contrary to section 7(1)(a).
