On March 1, 2017, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call in relation to a female who had been sexually assaulted.
Members from the East Algoma Crime Unit were involved in the investigation.
As a result, Brian TRACEY, 43 years of age, of Elliot Lake, Ontario, was charged with:
Sexual Assault (two counts), contrary to section 271of the Criminal Code (CC)
Fail to Comply with Probation Order (five counts) , contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC
The accused person is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on March 21, 2017.
