Rain at times heavy is likely for areas east of Lake Superior today through Friday. Occasional thunderstorm activity is likely as well. Total rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm are likely by the time the rain tapers off later on Friday.
For areas that receive several thunderstorms, even higher amounts are possible. The area is being monitored for potential rainfall warnings.
At this point, it appears that the majority of the rain will fall this afternoon and through the evening.
