The Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has now arrested and charged the driver in relation to a fatal single motor vehicle collision that occurred north of Webbwood.
On June 4, 2022 the OPP, the North East Region Emergency Response Team and Manitoulin-Sudbury Paramedic Services responded to a motor vehicle collision. Investigation revealed that the vehicle had rolled and a passenger of the vehicle was ejected. The passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Cole CHISHOLM, 25-years-old from Mindemoya was charged with Dangerous Operation Causing Death, contrary to section 320.13(3) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on September 12, 2022.
