(NAIRN-HYMAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges resulting from their investigation of a fatal collision.
On June 26, 2022 Manitoulin OPP and Manitoulin-Sudbury Paramedic Services responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 17 at Sand Bay Road. Investigation revealed that a vehicle had rear ended another vehicle. One of the drivers of the vehicle was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition and later succumbed to their injuries.
Caylee LITTLE, 18-years-old from Espanola was charged with:
- Careless Driving Causing Death, contrary to section 130(3) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
- Carless Driving Causing Bodily Harm, contrary to section 130(3) of the HTA
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on August 18, 2022.
