A 76 year-old female was finally found and charged with Fail to Report Accident, contrary to section 199(1) of the Highway Traffic Act that occurred on Aug. 9.
The OPP would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.
The woman was located yesterday and charged.
On August 9, 2022, shortly after 12:15 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a pedestrian on Hillside Drive South in Elliot Lake.
A person was on a skateboard travelling on Hillside Drive South at the entrance to Canadian Tire when a red SUV pulled out of the parking lot colliding with the skateboarder. The SUV then departed without stopping. A vehicle and driver description were provided to police.
