UPDATE- East Algoma OPP Lays Multiple Charges – Additional People Charged

(HURON SHORES AND PLUMMER ADDITIONAL TOWNSHIP, ON) – The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged three additional people in relation to two separate break, enter and thefts between May 29 – May 31, 2022, in the Municipality of Huron Shores and Plummer Additional Township.

The first was at a local energy fuel warehouse on Station Road and Highway 17 West in the Municipality of Huron Shores and occurred between May 29 and May 30, 2022. Over $60,000 in Off-Road Vehicles and parts were stolen. The other break and enter was at a hardware business on Main Street in Plummer Additional Township and occurred between May 30 and May 31, 2022. Almost $10,000 worth of equipment was stolen.

On July 26, 2022, Joshua HANNES, 33 years-old from Simcoe, Ontario was charged with eighteen counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC).

On July 25, 2022, Jordan PETRELLA, 48 years-old from Simcoe, Ontario was charged with twenty-two counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC.

On July 22, 2022, Jordan FRIESEN, 24 years-of-age from Simcoe, Ontario was charged with eighteen counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC.

Previously, on June 8, 2022, police also arrested and charged another individual connected to the two break and enters.
