Students at École secondaire catholique La Renaissance (Espanola) recently received 5,000 trout eggs which will allow them to advance in their fish farming project. Through this initiative, the students are responsible for observing the daily growth of trout eggs and their anatomy, for maintaining the fish farm as well as the development of the eggs until hatching. Subsequently, they will have the chance to ensure the transfer of fish to a favorable ecosystem in the community of Espanola. For several years, this environmental project has been carried out successfully thanks to the efforts of high school students and teachers at La Renaissance as well as with the support of various community partners. Moreover, the Lynx from La Renaissance warmly thank Mr. Roland Frappier, owner of Micro Hatcheries, for his continued support to this great ecological project!
Les élèves de La Renaissance poursuivent leur projet de pisciculture
Les élèves de l’école secondaire catholique La Renaissance (Espanola) ont reçu 5000 œufs de truite dernièrement afin de poursuivre leur projet de pisciculture. Par le biais de cette initiative, les élèves sont responsables d’observer la croissance quotidienne d’œufs de truites et de leur anatomie, de voir à l’entretien de la pisciculture ainsi que du développement des œufs jusqu’à l’éclosion. Par la suite, ils auront la chance d’assurer le transfert des poissons dans un écosystème propice dans la communauté d’Espanola. Depuis plusieurs années, ce projet environnemental est mené avec succès grâce aux efforts des élèves et des enseignants du secondaire de la Renaissance ainsi que la collaboration avec divers partenaires communautaires. D’ailleurs, les Lynx remercient vivement M. Roland Frappier, propriétaire de Micro Hatcheries, pour son appui continu à ce projet écologique!
