Hazards:
Total snowfall accumulations near 15 cm.
Peak snowfall rates of 3 to 5 cm per hour.
Reduced visibility in heavy snow.
Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult.
Timing:
Beginning this morning or early this afternoon and ending tonight.
Discussion:
A Colorado low is expected to bring snow to the area. The snow will fall heavily at onset before tapering to lighter snow later this evening. This snowfall warning replaces the winter weather travel advisory that was previously in effect.
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
