(GORDON TOWNSHIP, ON) – An employee of a local business has been charged after causing over $25,000 worth of damage to buildings and equipment.
On January 22, 2023 at approximately 5:00 a.m., members of the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a business in Gordon Township after receiving information that an employee caused extensive damage to property in the patrol yard.
As a result of the investigation, Moses PITAWANAKWAT, 23-years-old from Wikwemikong First Nation has been charged with Mischief – Destroys or Damages Property contrary to section 430(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Gore Bay Ontario Court of Justice on February 22, 2023.
