On April 10, 2023, shortly after 6:00 p.m., members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a harassment complaint where the complainant wanted to meet police at a local grocery store parking lot in the City of Elliot Lake.
A short time later police attended the parking lot and spoke with the complainant/driver and it was determined the driver had consumed drugs. The driver was subsequently arrested and returned to detachment for further tests.
As a result, Jeffrey CULLY, 40 years-of-age from Elliot Lake was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired-Alcohol and Drugs
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on May 1, 2023.
