Blind River Power Sports Dealership suffers a Loss

(BLND RIVER, ON) – OPP responded to a break, enter and theft at Napa Power Sports on White Road in the Town of Blind River.

On April 24, 2023, members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation and determined, sometime between Friday April 21, 2023, and the early morning of Monday April 23, 2023, suspect(s) cut through a galvanized chain link compound and used the parking lot next to Napa Power Sports (on White Road) to access the very east portion of the fenced compound.

The suspect(s) stole a Lund Jon boat (forest green in color) valued at $1600. Damage to the commercial property fence is estimated at $4000. There was also an attempt to steal a $20,000 side by side with negative results.

 

Police viewed video footage of a suspect pick-up truck and an enclosed trailer on April 23, 2023, at 3:08 a.m. and at this time police can only describe the pick-up truck as being a full-size pick-up truck hauling a very large tandem axle enclosed trailer with an estimated length of 18 to 22 feet. The pick-up truck and trailer are seen trailering east at a slow speed on Industrial Road to Causley Street before entering the A&W lot and parking out of sight between two large, parked transports. The pick-up truck and trailer then exit’s the parking lot and drives eastbound on Highway 17.

The OPP is currently searching for the person(s) responsible for this theft and is requesting the public’s assistance to help locate the stolen boat shown in photo.
